WP2 Networking and Meeting point: Jokkmokk Winter Conference
Jokkmokk Winter Conference is an
annual international forum for university students and researchers, decision makers and opinion builders from the North. 2011-2013 JWCs are developed with a strong focus on involving municipalities and other stakeholders to raise awareness on climate change, to exchange experiences and to make new transboundary projects between municipalities, authorities, SMEs and young researchers possible.
International Reference Group with young representatives from the region is the main body to prepare and evaluate Jokkmokk Winter Conferences. To support preparation and to include different perspectives, needs and competence, at least two preparatory meetings per year are organised. All collaborators are closely involved in developing the conference programme and in the intensive discussion of the conference objectives, design, methods and expected outcomes.
